Compelling recent studies are showing there
is a very strong correlation between physical
fitness and improved academic performance.
Furthermore, the studies are showing
movement in the classroom itself greatly aids
children in the retention of information!
The Stages Yoga program is a great option
to consider for adding movement to your
classroom. Yoga's focus is to integrate
movement, breath and mind. It bring
awareness to our state of mind and body!
Stages Yoga provides a variety of
professional development programs for
elementary and high school teachers:
*Pre-K to high school yoga-based programs
that teach teachers how to incorporate yoga
into the Physical Education curriculum.
*Training to assist teachers on how to use
yoga to manage stressful classroom
situations and improve and deepen learning.
*Training for special education teachers that
focuses especially on using the breath to
calm and center children. The outcomes are
amazing!
In addition to teacher training,
we also conduct on-going,
non-competitive "Fit &
Focused" children's classes
for after-school programs.
Stress relieving breathing
techniques for our time...
On January 6, 2011, Gov. Chris
Christie signed the "Anti-Bullying Bill
of Rights" into law which advocates
say has so far made New Jersey the
state with the strongest stance against
school bullying in the country! This
new law actually now requires
anti-bullying programs for the
professionals in the state's public
schools. Stages Yoga will come to your
school to conduct "Bullying Toolbox
Professional Development Series" for
elementary and secondary school staff.

"In the training we learn gradually to
apply the simple tenets of yoga to our
everyday lives through yoga's emphasis
on non-competitiveness, non violence,
compassion, body-honoring postures
and mindfulness to everything we do."
